THE PROCESS:
After nominations close on July 13 (get your skates on, folks!!), entries will be compiled and verified. For categories requiring us to contact the build client, this will be carried out over the following weeks.
Our judging panel will then convene for a zoom call during early August, where all nominations, entrants and categories will be discussed in detail. At the conclusion of this session, each judge will rate every entrant on a numeric scoring system, providing feedback and commentary where appropriate.
All scoring will be tallied shortly after, and finalists notified and announced publicly on August 22.
ETHICS:
We do not take the judging of this Awards program lightly.
All judges will be required to disclose any existing commercial relationships or potential conflicts of interest prior to our judging session, and where these exist, the judge will be excluded from rating the nominee concerned. That judge's score will then be submitted as the average of the remaining judges' ratings for that nominee.
In an industry as small as ours, it's inevitable there is going to be at least some level of overlap between key industry figures and the other businesses operating within the industry.
We continue to give very serious consideration to the ethical responsibilities involved in running our Tiny House Industry Awards program again this year. We have done our very best to anticipate potential concerns and build a fair and transparent program that truly supports and uplifts our incredible industry.
We're committed to maintaining the integrity of the program as our industry grows, and we are so excited to celebrate with you all at our Awards presentation in Brisbane on October 3!
If you haven't already nominated, do so HERE.
