How NOT to blow up your business, even if you have good intentions
Aug 22, 2024
While some Tiny House builders are struggling in the current climate, others are victims of their own success.
Sustainable business growth can be extremely difficult. Balancing supply and demand, along with overheads like wages, materials and insurance, all while maintaining great communication with your clients, is HARD.
Many Tiny House businesses are started by those who might be great builders, but may not have any real business experience.
These are the businesses that end up with bad reviews and end up going under, publicly crashing and burning in the media. Most started out with good intentions, but gradually ended up in a cycle of overwhelm and debt, unsure how to claw their way out.
As a lifelong business owner myself, I know this feeling as I’ve been there myself many years ago.
Trying to maintain a positive face in public while falling apart in private destroyed my mental health for a long time.
I didn’t know where to turn for help, and felt I’d be judged for screwing it all up if I did actually reach out to someone.
BUSINESS IS HARD 😰
The last thing we want is for any more Tiny House businesses to end up on the news for the wrong reasons.
There’s currently no-one teaching Tiny House business owners how to maintain sustainable levels of growth- but we’re changing that.
We’re rolling out content in our Member Toolbox over the coming months addressing exactly this.
➡️ Membership of THIA is for you if you have good intentions and want to tap into ongoing support to ensure the long term success of your business.
