What we find most interesting is this:

Tiny Houses on Airbnb- absolutely fine, many politicians actually own them as investments.
Tiny Houses as crisis accommodation- so fine that governments actually brag about providing these ALL over social media and in press releases.

But Tiny Houses that get someone off the streets into their own secure, affordable housing?
ABSOLUTELY NOT, that’s unsafe and inappropriate.

It almost sounds like: one rule for them, and one for us. Doesn’t it?

By saying YES to the use of Tiny Houses for TOURISM but NO for long term HOUSING, what councils are REALLY saying is that tourism is more important than homelessness.

Might we take this opportunity to remind councils that you work for us- and elections are coming up.

If you want to keep your jobs, let’s stop creating new committees to “discuss” housing solutions and just accept the one that’s right here in front of you that could house thousands of people almost overnight.
